BIRCH BAY, Wash. – The Berm is done.
The Whatcom County Public Works Department says the Birch Bay Drive and Pedestrian Facility Project known as “The Berm” has been completed.
It enhances Birch Bay’s marine habitat by restoring the natural shoreline while reducing coastal flooding and improving pedestrian safety.
The department says it’s the largest single project they’ve ever done.
