FERNDALE, Wash. — Aliens have landed in Ferndale and they’ve left mysterious symbols scattered around the city!

Ferndale Communications Officer Riley Sweeney says The Great Ferndale Alien Abduction is a month-long scavenger hunt held in July that’s a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors.

The City of Ferndale will release clues to an alien abduction mystery on social media, then teams will find clues and gather points.

Points can also be won through activities like helping a neighbor with an errand or volunteering at the food bank.

Participants will compete for cash prizes and the top prize is $150 plus a ride in a dump truck at the Old Settlers Parade the last weekend of July.

For full information and to download a points gathering sheet, go here.
