BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A major Whatcom County thoroughfare is slated to be repaved in the coming years, and a state agency running the project wants to hear from you.

SR 539, or the Guide Meridian, will be repaved from its intersection with I-5 to Kellogg Road in 2027.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) wants to know how you use the road.

Residents have until Aug. 7 to complete the short questionnaire.

WSDOT says that 35,000 to 52,000 vehicles use the Guide Meridian each day and it is a significant freight corridor.
