EVERSON, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A forthcoming construction project will lead to some detours in Everson.

The city says that SR 544 will close between Everson Road and Robinson Street starting on Wednesday, April 15.

Crews will be installing new sidewalks throughout the entire stretch of road, building on some spotty sections that already exist.

Traffic heading into town will need to use Robinson Street and Everson Road in order to get to downtown Everson.

The project is expected to wrap up by mid-July.
