WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – As the holiday season continues, local festive events are keeping the holiday spirit alive with tree lightings, parades of all kinds and more.

In downtown Bellingham, the Downtown Bellingham Partnership hosted their annual Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony. Hundreds of Bellingham residents flocked to the Depot Market Square on Saturday, Dec. 7 to watch the tree light up on Railroad Avenue.

Also on Saturday, the Bellingham Yacht Club hosted their annual Lighted Boat Parade with a handful of boats parading the harbor with their festive lights beaming through the dark waters of Bellingham Bay. On the other side of the bay, the Port of Bellingham hosted their 2024 Holiday Port Festival with dozens of gingerbread houses made by Bellingham locals and more.

And in Lynden, the annual Northwest Lighted Christmas Parade brought holiday cheer to those who lined the streets.
