DEMING, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A now infamous “glamping” project near Mount Baker is seeking a new owner.

The site of the proposed Oculis Lodge was posted on Redfin earlier this week, with an asking price of $725,000.

Oculis was initially proposed as an immersive nature experience near the North Cascades, featuring dozens of igloo-shaped domes with skylights and other amenities. But the property only comes with one of the promised domes, a pre-approved septic system and some exterior features.

Owner Youri Benoiston added in the listing that “concept plans” to build additional domes are available to purchase separately.

Investors who contributed over $1.2 million via crowdfunding website IndieGoGo have been vocal about a lack of progress and updates from Benoiston. Some of them are working to sue Benoiston, who historically refused to refund any of his investors.

An additional court battle against one of his former business partners has been ongoing in Whatcom County Superior Court since 2022.
