A Western Washington University alum’s Olympic experience somehow just took the next step up.

U.S. downhill skier Breezy Johnson crashed out of contention in the women’s Super-G race earlier today. But moments after she made it to the bottom of the mountain, her boyfriend proposed to her in a viral exchange.

Johnson already won a gold medal in the downhill on Sunday.

Elsewhere in the Olympics today, the U.S. men’s team cruised past Latvia 5-1 in its opening match of the Games. It’s the first time since 2014 that the U.S. has NHL players competing at the Olympics.

The U.S. is now tied with Norway for 2nd place at the Games, just three medals behind first-place Italy.
