Mariners News

The Mariners are looking to break out of their recent struggles in their return to T-Mobile tonight. They’re hosting the Athletics in the first of a three-game series.

Seattle’s in the midst of a five-game skid and has lost seven of its last eight games after a nightmare road trip out East. They sit two games out of first place in the AL West after the Houston Astros beat Baltimore yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Athletics are coming off a series sweep of the Minnesota Twins and have won five of their last six games. The M’s will look to slow them down with ace Bryan Woo on the mound for today’s series opener.

Coverage begins at 6:00 and first pitch is at 7:10 on KPUG.

Seahawks News

The Seahawks are at Lambeau Field tomorrow for their final preseason game.

They’re playing the Green Bay Packers on the heels of a contentious joint-practice yesterday. ESPN reports that at least 12 scuffles broke out, including a few full-on fights.

Seattle still has yet to lose this preseason after handling the Kansas City Chiefs and tying the Las Vegas Raiders. The Packers enter the matchup at 1-1 with a loss to the Jets and a win against the Colts.

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald says rookie Jalen Milroe will start and play in all of tomorrow’s game, giving 12’s fans an extended look at their potential franchise QB.

Coverage begins at 11 am and kickoff is at 1 pm tomorrow on KPUG.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks’ Week 1 opponent and division rival is bolstering its offense. The San Francisco 49ers made a big trade today, acquiring running back Brian Robinson Jr. from the Washington Commanders in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick.

Robinson Jr. racked up over 900 all-purpose yards and scored eight touchdowns with the Commanders last season in his third third year in the league. He’ll look to give the Niners some more backfield depth behind superstar Christian McCaffrey, who played just four games last season.

The move came days after San Francisco traded for Kansas City Chiefs receiver Skyy Moore to help reinforce its wide receiver room while Demarcus Robinson sits out the first three games of the season as part of the fallout from a DUI charge.

Storm News

The Storm are facing the Dallas Wings tonight in the second match of their extended five-game road trip.

The Storm shook off a rough patch to beat the Chicago Sky on Tuesday and will look to get back above .500 with another win tonight.

The Wings are coming off a buzzer-beater loss to the Los Angeles Sparks where rookie Paige Bueckers’ heroic effort came up just short. She poured in a career-high 44 points, which is the most points in a game by any player this season and tied the record for the most by a first-year player.

The Storm will look to cool her off tonight and get back on track. Tipoff is at 4:30.

Sounders/Reign News

The Sounders are back in MLS play this weekend when they host Sporting Kansas City on Sunday night.

Seattle’s coming off a tight shootout win over Puebla to move on to the Leagues Cup semifinals, which take place next Wednesday. But first, they’ll take on a KC club that hasn’t won a match since the 4th of July.

Sunday night’s match starts at 6:15.

The Reign are also back this weekend, they’re on the road against the Houston Dash at 4:00 tomorrow.
