Mariners News

The Mariners could be in for a major change heading into their road trip this weekend.

J.P. Crawford told reporters yesterday that he talked to manager Dan Wilson about his openness to move from shortstop to third base after top prospect Colt Emerson was promoted from Triple-A Tacoma.

Crawford fielded grounders at third base before yesterday’s game against the White Sox, which he sat out due to right triceps soreness.

Wilson didn’t confirm whether Crawford would be making the switch, but says it’s a chance to look at how things could work.

The M’s are hitting the road for a weekend series against the Kansas City Royals, starting tomorrow with Logan Gilbert on the mound.

Coverage begins at 3:30 and first pitch is at 4:40 on KPUG.

Seahawks News

The NFL commissioner is pushing back on rumors that the Seahawks are having trouble finding a new owner.

Roger Goodell told reporters Tuesday that recent reports of the league receiving less interest than expected for the sale of the defending Super Bowl champs are “not accurate.”

He went on to say that there’s been “tremendous interest” in the team and that the process is continuing to move forward.

It comes after ESPN reported earlier this month that an unnamed NFL owner called the market for the Seahawks “ soft.”

According to the outlet, what began as speculation that Seattle could fetch up to $11 billion is now expected to be closer to nine billion.
