The Bells are in Portland tonight for their final game of the season. They’re playing the Pickles in the West Coast League Championship with a chance to get their first title since 2014.
Bellingham is coming off a win over the Edmonton Riverhawks on Tuesday where they were crowned North Division champions.
Tonight’s title game against the Pickles will be their toughest test of the season. Portland owned the best regular season record in the league and boasts a high-octane offense as the defending WCL champs.
The Zone is live from Walker Stadium from 3-6 on KPUG before the Bells take the field for a 7:05 first pitch.

Mariners News
The Mariners’ rally fell just short in their 5-3 loss to the Baltimore Orioles earlier today.
The game took a long pause in the sixth inning due to a rain delay and the M’s came out of the break strong with a 2-run homer by Julio Rodriguez. Seattle trailed by three going into the ninth inning and loaded the bases, but only managed one run.
The Mariners are back to a game and a half back from the first-place Astros after suffering the series loss.
Next up, the M’s will hit the Big Apple for a three-game weekend series against the Mets. Coverage for tomorrow’s series opener begins at 3:00 and first pitch is at 4:10 on KPUG.
A trio of Mariners were on the field last night for Triple-A Tacoma. Bryce Miller, Victor Robles and Luke Raley all started the game for the Rainiers as their rehab assignments continue.
Miller gave up two runs on two hits with four strikeouts over five and two-thirds innings. Mariners GM Justin Hollander says he expects Miller to return to the team at the end of its current road trip or the beginning of its next homestand.
Robles made his first return to game-action on Tuesday since he fractured his shoulder in early April. He ripped a double in his first at-bat and has completed six at-bats of the roughly 50 the Mariners want him to get in before he returns.
And Raley is holding up strong, going 4-16 with a pair of home runs in a handful of games with Tacoma. Hollander says he could return this weekend against the Mets.
Storm News
The Storm fell to the Atlanta Dream 85-75 last night to drop their sixth-straight game. Nneka Ogwumike led the team with 29 points but it wasn’t enough to help the Storm snap their longest losing streak of the season.
It was the sixth-straight win for the streaking Dream.
The Storm have a chance at redemption tomorrow night when they travel to Atlanta for a rematch.
Seahawks News
The Seahawks could be playing a familiar face for Washington sports fans tomorrow.
Seattle’s hosting the Kansas City Chiefs in their second preseason game. Chiefs coach Andy Reid says Patrick Mahomes is unlikely to play, which means that KC backup and former Washington State Coug Gardner Minshew should get the start.
Minshew transferred to WSU prior to the 2018 season and had a breakout campaign, earning Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year honors and finishing fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting.
Meanwhile, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald told reporters that he plans to play his starters for the first time tomorrow, though he didn’t reveal how long they’ll be in the game. Tomorrow’s match kicks off at 7:00 from Lumen Field.
NBA News
Some of the top stars in the NBA could be coming to Seattle next summer. Former Rainier Beach standout Jamal Crawford is planning to bring back his pro-am basketball league called “Crawsover.”
The Seattle Times reports NBA stars such as Stephen Curry and Zion Williamson have expressed interest in playing in the event.
Meanwhile, Crawford is set to become a lead game analyst for NBC this fall as the network returns to hosting NBA games.
