WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A nationwide egg recall is underway due to Salmonella concerns.

A California-based company is recalling brown cage-free and organic eggs sold under multiple brands including Clover, O Organics, Marketside and Simple Truth. The eggs have sell-by dates from March 4 to June 19, 2025, and were distributed to stores in nine states, including Walmart in Washington.

The Whatcom County Health Department says the eggs may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacteria that can cause serious or sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems.

If you have these eggs, throw them away or return them. If the packaging is gone and you’re unsure, it’s safest to discard them

More information, including lot numbers, is available on the County’s website.
