BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Parking at Bellingham International Airport will be a little harder to find over the next few weeks as the lots undergo big upgrades.

The Port of Bellingham says the main lot is now closed through Sept. 12 while it fully automates the airport’s parking system.

After the main lot reopens, the Economy A Parking Lot will close from Sept. 15 through Oct. 3 while it gets the same upgrades.

Airport operations manager Gage Dalley says the improvements will let people make online reservations and use automatic license plate readers to speed up the parking process.

Travelers should keep in mind that parking reservations aren’t available at the airport until the upgrades are finished.
