Seahawks News

The Seahawks are flying high after picking up a much-needed win last night.

They put on a defensive clinic in their 20-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Kenneth Walker III was held to just 36 rushing yards in his return to Seattle, which was well short of his 133-yard average entering the game.

The Seahawks’ Emmanuel Wilson ran for 100 yards and a touchdown, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba continued his stellar season with 9 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown.

Seattle’s defense didn’t allow a single red zone drive, which has never happened to KC with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback.

The Seahawks improved to 4-3, while handing the Chiefs their first loss of the season. Next up, they’ll host the Chicago Bears a week from today on Monday Night Football.

Huskies/Cougs News

The Cougs’ woes continued over the weekend.

They fell to No. 20 Boise State 31-10 in Pullman. Wazzu tied the game entering the 4th quarter, but the Broncos exploded for three touchdowns to run away with the win.

It was the Coug’s fifth loss in the row as they now take the road to play San Diego State on Saturday for Halloween.

The Huskies had the week off ahead of their own Halloween matchup at Nebraska.

Prep Football News

Speaking of the Cougs, their potential quarterback of the future made state history on Friday.

Anacortes senior Ryan Harrington threw for 704 yards and 10 touchdowns in the Seahawks’ 68-20 win over Sehome. That set a state record for passing yards in a single game and tied the record for passing touchdowns.

MLB Playoff News

The Rays are looking to recover from a rough weekend as the World Series heads to St. Petersburg.

The Brewers picked up a pair of wins in Milwaukee to take a 2-0 lead in the Fall Classic. They rallied from a 4-0 deficit on Saturday to earn their seventh comeback win among nine playoff victories.

The Rays will look to notch their first World Series win in front of their home crowd since 2008 tonight.

Coverage for Game 3 begins at 4:00 and first pitch is at 5 on KPUG.

Kraken News

The Kraken will be missing a key player for the next few months.

The team announced that veteran winger Jared McCann will miss 10 weeks with a lower-body injury after placing him on the injured reserve yesterday.

McCann sat out of Saturday’s 5-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild, as Seattle dropped to two points out of first place in the Pacific Division.

Next up, the Kraken are hosting the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday.
