EVERSON, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A gardening hub for residents in rural Whatcom County has announced its closure.

Sustainable Connections says that their Cloud Mountain Farm Center nursery in Everson will be closing for good at the end of June. Funding concerns were cited as the primary reason for the nursery’s closure.

Sustainable Connections also says that an uptick in operating costs and the loss of a major annual donor led to their decision to shut down their nursery.

Cloud Mountain merged their programs and operations with Sustainable Connections in 2019.

The nursery will stop taking online orders at the end of April and will be holding storewide sales on all their products through June 30.

Cloud Mountain will continue to operate their distribution and processing services beyond their nursery’s closure.
