WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Two people were rescued on a trail near Bellingham after a tree fell on top of them.
South Whatcom Fire Chief Mitch Nolze says that the tree fell across a section of the Fragrance Lake Trail at around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Two people were hit by the fallen tree and became trapped within its branches.
Larrabee State Park rangers and staff members worked with fire crews to extract the two victims.
Both were taken to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center for treatment.
