WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The federal crackdown on undocumented immigrants is continuing in Whatcom County.
Blaine Border Patrol says it’s assisted ICE with eight arrests over the past week.
The majority of the arrests took place in Whatcom and Skagit counties, including several in Bellingham and Lynden. The people arrested were from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and Colombia.
According to Blaine Border Patrol, they have criminal histories ranging from drug dealing to child rape.
One Columbian national who was arrested in Oregon on Monday is said to be associated with a group that has been linked to armed burglaries in Washington and Oregon.
