Bellingham Police Dept. reminds drivers to not drink and drive this Labor Day weekend

WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – In light of the extended holiday weekend, additional patrols will be out looking for impaired drivers on the road.

The statewide “Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over” campaign will begin on Friday, Aug. 30 through Monday, Sept. 2.

Bellingham Police reminds people to designate sober drivers, take public transit or arrange a rideshare to avoid DUI charges.

Washington State Patrol says that in September 2023, 179 DUI arrests were made in Whatcom, Skagit, Island and Snohomish Counties.
