BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A woman was arrested, and a man remains at large following an assault and robbery in Bellingham.

Court documents state that two people were inside a motel room on Dec. 17 when one of them noticed their door opening. A woman with a metal baseball bat forced her way into the room and got into a fight with a female inside.

The victim was struck several times with the bat while the suspect’s accomplice attempted to steal electronics from the room. Another person in the room was hit in the face by the accomplice. Both suspects fled the room without stealing anything.

The female suspect, identified as a 31-year-old from Ferndale, was arrested last Saturday. Her accomplice has not been identified or located.
