BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Travellers flying out of Bellingham International Airport (BLI) now have an additional flight option heading south to Seattle.

The Port of Bellingham says that a fourth round-trip flight between Bellingham and Sea-Tac has been added, serviced by Alaska Airlines.

Departing flights from Bellingham are offered every day except Saturday, with takeoff scheduled for 6:27 p.m. The same goes for the new flights arriving in Bellingham, which are scheduled for takeoff from Sea-Tac at 7:57 p.m.

The Port says that although airlines like Alaska are struggling with a shortage of pilots and planes, they have initiated a new airline inventive package to aid in this situation and is currently working to add more flight options and destinations in the future.

In the same announcement, the Port said they were exploring options for an international flight out of Bellingham to somewhere in Mexico.
