LOS ANGELES (AP) — Smokey Robinson and Berry Gordy will be the first to accept a new award given out by the Grammy Museum.

They’ll get the museum’s first-ever Architects of Sound award at a gala next month.

The Architect of Sound Awards honor those who are catalysts in changing the musical legacy of America, and who helped shape the sound of a specific genre, according to the Grammy Museum’s website.

Randy Jackson will host.

Boyz II Men and Kelly Rowland will perform.
