SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Yahoo Inc. Chief Executive Marissa Mayer said the Internet company now has more than 800 million monthly active users, which she said represented 20 percent growth.

Speaking at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco on Wednesday, Mayer said the 800 million users did not include traffic from Tumblr, the online blog and social media hub that it acquired earlier this year.

NFL to keep the roof open for Super Bowl Sunday

The roof remained closed at University of Phoenix Stadium, where the NFL football's Super Bowl XLIX will be played, while the grass field remained outside in the sun, Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, in Glendale, Ariz. At this point, the NFL says it plans to keep the retractable roof open at the stadium for the Feb. 1, 2015, NFL championship game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, but the plan can change as the league gets a better read on the weather forecast for game night.

It's a change of course at University of Phoenix Stadium, where the home team Cardinals have played with the roof closed for every game since December 2013.
