KODIAK, Alaska (AP) — If you’re a guy who likes his hair long and shaggy, you might want to head for Alaska’s Kodiak Island.

A new Labor Department study says the average visit to a clip joint will set you back $26.67 — nearly double the national average of $13.95.

But those who hate having their locks shorn — and live in Kodiak — have a built-in excuse for not letting their manes grow long.
