SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Rick Springfield is being tried in New York State in a case that stems from a concert appearance nearly a decade ago.

A woman is suing the 1980s pop star for injuries she says she suffered when he fell on her during the show at a state fair.

Vicki Calcagno says she suffered a concussion and permanent injuries when Springfield fell into the crowd during the August, 2004 performance.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports Springfield testified in state court yesterday that he has no recollection of the show other than the violent weather.

But the lawsuit claims Springfield was negligent by jumping on chairs and benches in the audience during his show.
