Cult indie rockers the Pixies are set to release their first studio album in 23 years.

The “Velouria” hitmakers shared the news with fans on Monday, revealing the music from their new four-song EP, titled “EP3,” will be combined with the eight tunes previously included on September’s “EP1″ and its follow-up, “EP2,” to form the track listing for “Indie Cindy.”

The project will mark the group’s first new full-length album since 1991’s “Trompe Le Monde.”

“Indie Cindy” will be released in late April via the band’s Pixiesmusic label.

The Pixies hit the headlines in November when frontman Black Francis, aka Frank Black, and his bandmates fired bassist Kim Shattuck, who had replaced longtime member Kim Deal last summer.

The group hired Paz Lenchantin to perform with them on tour this year, but a permanent replacement for Shattuck has yet to be announced.
