COPENHAGEN (AP) — Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton has not had to change how he approaches a live show because of recent bouts with cancer.

Hamilton says the only time he ever had to change how he played was when he had a bout of tendinitis.

He says now he’s playing better than ever, which is more fun for him, which means he plays better.

He’s also eager to go into the studio again. Hamilton says Aerosmith was eager to show off on last year’s “Music From Another Dimension” album, but now he’d like to make a tightly focused record that concentrates on the songs instead of instrumentation.
