BAYVIEW, Wash. – High levels of fecal bacteria have closed the beach and swimming area at Bayview State Park in Skagit County.

The state Department of Ecology will reopen the beach when the waters are safe, but until then they warn that nobody even touch the contaminated water, especially children and the elderly.

All updates on water quality can be found on the department’s “Fecal Matters” blog, or on Facebook.
