Troopers: 9 injured in crash on US Highway 2

MONROE, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol says nine people have been injured, six of them critically, in a multi-vehicle crash that temporarily shut down U.S. Highway 2 east of Monroe.

The Daily Herald of Everett reports that Trooper Keith Leary says the crash was reported about 6:30 p.m. Monday on a flat stretch of highway.

Leary says 12 people were involved in all.
