Lockdown lifted at Ferndale Schools

FERNDALE, Wash. – Ferndale Schools are no longer on lockdown.

According to the Bellingham Herald, a stabbing incident that led to a man shooting himself near Smith and Northwest roads prompted the lockdown as a precautionary measure.

There was no incidents on any Ferndale School campuses.

The district reports all students are safe.

There is no need for parents to pick up their children and classes and school have returned to a normal schedule.
