SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The San Francisco Giants have acquired right-hander Jake Peavy (PEE’-vee) from Boston for a pair of minor league pitchers, and he will start tomorrow night’s series finale against the Dodgers. Peavy is 1-9 with a 4.72 ERA but has been hurt by poor run support this season. He’s received two runs or fewer of support in each of his past eight starts.
