DUI crash leaves man injured

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A DUI crash in Whatcom County leaves a man injured early today.

The State Patrol reports 35 year old Aaron Loffler of Bellingham was speeding westbound on Alderwood Avenue near Marine Drive just after 2 a.m. when his car left the roadway and hit a power pole.

His passenger, a 33 year old man from Olympia, was injured and transported to the hospital in Bellingham.

Loffler wasn’t hurt.

Officers booked him into the Whatcom County Jail on charges of DUI and vehicular assault.
