Bellingham Police morn loss of their own

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – One of the Bellingham Police Department’s beloved K9 dogs has died.

K9 ‘Max’ died earlier this week after losing a battle with cancer.

Lieutenant Bob Vander Yacht says the five-year-old German Shepard worked in narcotics detection and tracking.

He says they now must find a replacement for Max.
