Armed robbery at Bellingham bank

Bellingham Police are looking for an armed robber who took cash from the Washington Federal bank on the corner of Guide Meridian and Bakerview Road around 5 p.m. Friday, July 18.

The suspect is a white male in his 30s. He was wearing a baseball cap, a brown t-shirt and blue jeans.

Police say he put the money in a white bag and ran north, then east.

Call 9-1-1 if you see the suspect, and do not approach him.

Lt. Bob Vanderyacht says a police dog is searching on the ground, and a Border Patrol helicopter is searching in the air.
