FERNDALE, Wash. – A teenager from Ferndale is dead after he fell from a pickup truck and was run over by one of the truck’s wheels.

The Washington State Patrol reports 18-year-old Isaac Misanes was in the truck with three men in their twenties as they traveled southbound on Lummi Shore Road just after 4:00 p.m. yesterday.

The group was shooting off fireworks from inside the truck when Misanes apparently climbed through the sliding rear window and into the truck bed.

He then fell to the road and was run over by the truck.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers don’t believe drugs or alcohol were involved, but the accident is under investigation.
