Well, unless the forecast of snow is more intense than the current weather picture from the web, Anacortes musician Rod Stone will be the guest on this week’s Locals Only. It’s a little bit country and a little bit rock ‘n’ roll. Rod is primarily a songwriter, but he’s also a capable guitar player. We’ll find out more about this quiet guy from Fidalgo Island and hear a few of his compositions on this week’s Locals Only.

Dino Dinicolo has made several appearances on the program in the past. His first appearance was with a good Vancouver band called Supertonic. After the demise of the band, Dino came up with an unusual musical decision. He decided to go on the road with just his bass, his voice and a percussive device called a stompbox. The stompbox has been replaced with a more contemporary version, but Dino remains solo. It seems to be working out. We’ll find how Dino is doing and listen to cuts from his latest CD on this week’s edition of Locals Only.

Jordan Rain has put together a feeling that translates into good times no matter who is in his band. The Yogoman Burning Band has been through a number of line ups over the past decade, but the group continues to keep feet moving on the dance floor. Currently Jordan is accompanied by his father, Michael Rain on guitar, Mars Lindgren on trombone, Amanda Rhine on sax, and Nelson Bell on trombone, tuba and trumpet. This ensemble has a new recording and a big New Year’s Party on the horizon. We’ll hear the group’s latest efforts and find out what’s up with the Yogoman on this week’s edition of Locals Only.
